The VOU is run by a team of youth from across the UK ever since it started in 1995. They will either write or source articles, choose appropriate photos and work with professionals to produce the magazine on a regular basis. You are welcome to get involved!

EDITOR

Ali Joudi

Ali works in Accountancy having recently graduated from Imperial College London. He believes that Islam is a holistic way of life guiding every thought, word and action. He has been VOU Editor since July 2008.


EDITORIAL TEAM

Fathima Mahomed

Fathima believes small things make a difference and can lead to much greater things. A little effort is rewarding and is our responsibility. She is a tax consultant by day and one of her passions is sport.

Hassan Joudi

Hassan is a 21 year old mechanical engineering student. He relishes the creative aspect of writing and enjoys the challenge of explaining a complex subject in a concise and exciting way.

Homam Al-Bahrani

Homam is a postgraduate at UCL working on methods to improve the drug development process. He joined in 2009 to get into volunteering. His interests include travelling, photography and Liverpool FC.

Malika Barakat

Malika is currently reading for her Medical Genetics degree at Queen Mary University. She considers the VOU as a platform to challenge our thinking, advance spiritually and attain inspiration and enlightenment.

Mohammad Ehsan Rangiha

Ehsan achieved a BSc in Computer Science and MSc in Business System Analysis and Design from City University, London. He is currently working as an IT professional and also undertaking his Masters.

Naba Al-Nahi

Naba is a Law student at Brunel University. She is interested in International Human Rights and Politics. One of her passions is Art and she enjoys writing which led her to join the VOU in July 2009.

Noor Owainati

Noor has been with the editorial team for many years. She is passionate about the written word and works to encourage youth to read, write and get published. She is an English graduate.

Zynab Al-Bahrani

Zynab is studying Politics and Religion at SOAS. She enjoys exploring and finding solutions for the "West vs Islam" dilemma. She is working on her first novel and sees the VOU as a platform for dicussion.

Musa Naqvi

Musa is a graduate in Economics and Management from Oxford whose interests include philosophy, history drama, poetry and cricket. He joined the VOU in 2003-04 after reviewing an IUS Camp.
